Download and print your cat

Save the superhero cat coloring page to your device. For crisp lines, print the drawing at around 9 × 13 cm (3.5 × 5 inches), centered on the paper, rather than enlarging it to fill the sheet.

Check the print preview to make sure the cape and boots are not cropped. Before you start coloring, give your cat a name and decide what power the heart on his suit represents.

A serious little hero with a bright red cape

patro_espigares paired golden fur with a green suit and blue eyes. The yellow heart adds a small, bright focal point on the chest, while the red cape stands out against the green.

Three color ideas for a superhero suit

Test your pencils on scrap paper first. These swatches suggest combinations; your pencils, paper and pressure will affect the finished colors.

Blue and coral hero

  • Blue
  • Coral
  • Cream
  • Dark gray

Use blue for the suit, coral for the cape and heart, and cream for the fur. Add dark gray to the buckle and deeper shadows.

Purple adventure

  • Purple
  • Yellow
  • Pearl gray
  • Lavender

Try a purple suit with a yellow cape. Pearl-gray fur lets the costume stand out; lavender softens the lighter areas.

Green guardian

  • Green
  • Orange
  • Sand
  • Soft brown

Pair a green suit with an orange cape. Use sandy shades for the fur and a soft brown for the belt.

Three details to make your own

A cape that moves

Start with a light layer of color, then deepen the folds near the neck. Leave lighter areas between the folds to suggest the sweep of the fabric.

A heart-shaped emblem

Make the heart your hero’s symbol. On a blue suit, try coral or yellow. Change the lightness as well as the hue so the heart remains easy to see.

Boots and belt

Repeat one costume color on the boots and choose a different shade for the buckle. Shadows do not always need black: a darker blue or gray can work too.

Which colors work well for the suit and cape?

Try blue and coral, purple and yellow, or green and orange. Use the boldest color for the cape or heart and keep the fur softer.

How can I make the heart stand out?

Choose a different hue or lightness from the suit. A bright yellow heart on a darker purple suit, for example, is easy to spot.
