A LITTLE BOW, A LOT OF MAGIC

Witch with a Bow and Pigtails Coloring Page

The bow, flowing pigtails and plaid skirt give you plenty to explore with colored pencils. Download this little witch, choose two colors for her outfit and see how they change from one fold to the next.

The shading in the drawing can help you decide where to begin.

Soft green, lilac bows and brown hair

In this version by soirolaba_scrap, green connects the hat, hoodie and socks. Lilac returns in the large bow, skirt and sneakers: repeating these shades ties the smaller details into the outfit.

Look at the shadows in the bow

The edges tucked into the knot are darker, while the rounded parts stay light. Try that contrast on one loop before moving on. It is a small, manageable way to practice shape and shading.

Three details to take your time with

  1. Let the plaid follow the folds

Start the stripes with light pressure. Deepen them where they dip into a fold without changing their path; leave the raised edges lighter.

  2. Keep the pigtails light and flowing

Follow the hair with long, fine strokes. Alternate lighter and darker browns and leave small gaps for highlights. Avoid giving every strand the same weight.

  3. Help the laces stand out

Color around the laces first, keeping them light. A small shadow below each crossing separates them from the shoe without a heavy black outline.

Another idea: violet with touches of gold

Witch outfit: violet and gold

This creative Atlas palette combines violets, indigo, gold and sepia. Try violet on the hat and skirt, indigo in the deepest folds and a little gold on the earrings and ornaments. It is an alternative to soirolaba_scrap’s example, so you can give your witch a different look.

A small challenge: change just the bow

Try two bow colors beside the green of the hat. Which makes your witch look sweeter or more mysterious? Share your version, join coloring challenges and learn in live sessions with our Instagram community. Activities are mainly in Spanish.
