Choose a combination or invent your own
Choose the bouquet colors first
The bouquet has small details. Pick one or two flower colors and keep the dress softer so the hands and petals remain easy to distinguish.
White daisies and a blue dress
- Warm white

- Leaf green
- Sky blue
Leave the petals the color of the paper, with yellow centers and green stems. A light blue dress helps the white flowers stand out without using many shades.
Peach and sage green

Use peach on some flowers and cream on the others. Pair the bouquet with a sage green dress and chestnut hair, repeating a warm accent in the background flowers.
Lilac flowers and soft yellow

Try lilac petals with pale centers and a soft yellow dress. Reserve dark mauve for the bases of a few petals, without covering every flower center.

Give the bouquet shape while preserving its details
Move from small areas to larger ones: the bouquet first, then the dress. This lets you adjust the clothing’s intensity once you know how colorful the flowers are.
Light petals, soft shadows
For white flowers, leave the petals unfilled. Add a very light gray shadow near the center and where one petal sits behind another, keeping the tip white.
Separate flowers and fingers
Use a sharp point around the hands. Color one petal at a time and avoid taking the green of the stems onto the fingers.
A dress that complements the bouquet
Apply a light layer and deepen the folds that begin near the waist. Keep the center of the skirt light to suggest its fullness.
Small flowers in the background
Repeat some bouquet shades in the flowers around the doll. You do not need a complete background: white spaces keep the scene light and airy.
Add a personal touch
Make a coloring page with a personal message
Choose a palette with someone you would like to give the drawing to in mind. When you finish, write a short message in a free margin or on the back. Mount it on cardstock in a color from the bouquet.
From the drawing to your coloring table
Save the page and choose portrait orientation when printing. Check that the shoes and flowers at the edges are visible; “fit to page” helps prevent cropping. Test the bouquet colors on another sheet before starting.

How do I color the daisies if I want them to stay white?
Leave the petals unfilled and add only a soft gray shadow near the center. Use yellow centers and green stems to define the bouquet without darkening it.
