This portrait-format illustration combines soft areas on the face with small clothing details. It already has gray shadows beneath the arms and in the folds: use them to add volume without deciding every shadow from scratch. Leave space around the ears when positioning the drawing on the sheet.

  1. Select Download the bunny in overalls JPG and save the file to your device. If your browser opens the image, use its save-image option.
  2. Open the JPG and choose portrait orientation. Use “Fit to page” with margins; for a card or a small drawing, reduce the size in your print settings.
  3. Check the preview before printing: the ears, paws and signature should remain fully inside the paper. Print in black and white to preserve the original drawing.

The JPG measures 667 × 1,000 pixels. To keep the lines crisp, avoid enlarging it too much; print it smaller within an A4 sheet. The button saves the original without the website menus.

A palette to get started

Which colors to choose for the fur and overalls

Choose the clothing colors first, then a soft shade for the bunny. That keeps the pocket and straps distinct without competing with the face’s expression.

Denim overalls and cream fur

Combine medium blue trousers, darker blue beneath the pocket and very pale cream fur. Soft pink inside the ears adds warmth without filling the whole face with color.

Lavender, white and peach

Color the overalls lavender and leave plenty of white on the bunny. Use peach on the cheeks and inner ears; repeat a little lavender in the paw shadows to bring the look together.

A storybook bunny

Try sage green for the overalls and beige for the fur. Color the pocket light ochre, as though it were a little patch. Keep the buttons simple and save dark shades for the folds.

To compare shades before coloring, explore the colored-pencil palettes (in Spanish).

Coloring tips

Give the overalls volume while keeping the bunny’s gentle look

The eyes already have strong contrast. Work on the rest in light layers to preserve that gaze and the gesture of the paws beside the mouth.

1

Begin with the ears and face. Keep the center of the forehead light and add a gentle shadow along the edges. You do not need to fill all the fur with gray to make it look white.

2

Color the overalls in sections: the bib, pocket and legs. Darken slightly beneath the pocket, beside the straps and on the rolled cuffs, following the drawing’s shadows.

3

Finish with the hands, buttons and tail. Use light pressure on the hands so they remain distinct from the mouth; keep the white eye highlights as they are.

Colored pencils let you preserve the original grays and add several thin layers. If you use markers, test the paper first and put another sheet underneath. The learn-to-color guide offers more help with layers and shadows.

More bunnies to keep coloring

The collection of printable bunny coloring pages offers other expressions, outfits and scenes.

To swap the overalls for a magical scene, try the bunny with a witch hat and pumpkin. Repeat the gentle fur colors while changing the accessories completely.

Before you start coloring

Do “overalls” and “dungarees” refer to the same drawing?

Yes. This bunny wears bib overalls, also called dungarees. The front pocket and turned-up cuffs belong to the same illustration shown on this page.

Can I keep the bunny white?

Yes. Preserve the white of the paper and add very soft shadows beneath the chin, around the arms and at the bases of the ears. Colored overalls will help define the body.
