A bow, plenty of flowers and your colors

Kawaii bunny with a bow coloring page

This kawaii bunny sits among flowers, with its paws together and very long ears. The bow takes center stage: give it a bright color and keep the fur softer, or try a pastel combination. Download the free drawing and print it to begin.

I would start with the bow. Choosing its color before coloring the flowers helps you decide which shades to repeat and which to keep in the background.

The ears and bow have broad areas; the flowers need small strokes and a little more patience.

Choose the mood

Three combinations for the bunny and flowers

You do not need a different color for every flower. Repeating two or three shades can bring the whole scene together.

Pink and white

Leave most of the fur white, add soft pink inside the ears and use a stronger pink for the bow. Alternate pink and cream flowers.

Lilac and light gray

Color the bow lilac and combine violet flowers with green leaves. Very light gray beneath the paws and beside the cheeks gives the fur volume.

Peach and blue

Try a light blue bow, peach flowers and soft beige fur. Save dark blue for the knot and folds of the bow.

If you are unsure which pencils to use, the colored-pencil Atlas for choosing pastels (in Spanish) can help you prepare your combination.

Details that bring it to life

How to color the bow, fur and flowers

Work in light layers to preserve the drawing’s strokes and gradually decide where you need more shading.

A bow with volume

Darken slightly on either side of the knot and in the folds. Keep the open parts of the bow lighter, as though they are catching the light.

Soft fur and bright eyes

Make short strokes in the direction of the fur. If your bunny is white, shading just a few areas is enough. Preserve the little white highlights in the eyes.

Flowers that keep their detail

Begin with the centers and move on to the petals. Use the pencil point near the edges and distinguish the leaves with a slightly darker green.

Prepare your paper

Print the bunny and color at your own pace

Print in portrait orientation and choose to fit the drawing to the page. Check that the ears and lower flowers are fully visible.

If you are new to coloring

Color the bunny and bow first, then save the flowers for another session. You do not need to finish the whole scene at once.
