How to download and print this coloring page

The head fills much of the image, while the legs create a sense of movement. The printed shading already helps define the muzzle and facial folds. Start with light colors so you can decide which areas to keep pale before deepening the markings.

  1. Select Download the Boston Terrier JPG and save the original file to your device. If your browser opens the image, use its save-image option.
  2. Open the saved JPG and choose A4 paper in portrait orientation. Select “Fit to page” and check that the entire drawing fits within the margins.
  3. Print in black and white. For crisper lines, try printing the image a little smaller on the sheet instead of enlarging it.

The file measures 1,200 × 1,200 pixels. The button downloads the original JPG. You do not need to take a screenshot or print the website menus.

Three color ideas for this drawing

Follow one of these combinations or mix the parts you like from each. Test your colors on scrap paper before applying them to the drawing.

White and dark gray

Leave the paper white along the forehead stripe, muzzle and chest. Build from medium to dark gray on the sides of the head and along the back.

Brown and cream

Try warm brown for the markings and cream for the light areas. A deep brown near the ears helps frame the face.

Blue-toned shadows

Keep the fur light and use blue-gray for the shadows. A touch of soft pink in the ears adds warmth without drawing attention away from the eyes.

Coloring tips

Keep the muzzle expressive

1

Begin with the light areas around the nose. Apply thin layers so the small folds remain visible.

2

Build the dark markings with gray before adding black. Keep a soft transition at the edges where the fur changes color.

3

Deepen the shadows beneath the chest and between the legs. If you add ground, a light shadow is enough: the dog’s movement already tells the story.
